MELBOURNE - Nov 4/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A weakening trough is moving over Northeast Pastoral district. A high south of the Bight will move eastwards slowly to be located over the Tasman Sea on Friday. Another trough will move across the western parts of the State on Friday. Forecast for the rest of TuesdayChance of showers and thunderstorms in the far north until the evening. Light to moderate southeast to northeasterly winds in the far northeast, moderate to fresh southwest to southeasterly winds elsewhere, extending throughout towards midnight.Wednesday 5 NovemberFine. Light to moderate south to southeasterly winds, fresher about the Northeast Pastoral until late morning. Mild to warm about southern coasts, grading to hot to very hot over the north and west.Thursday 6 NovemberFine. Light variable winds, tending moderate northeast to northwesterly in the west. Mild to warm about southern coasts, grading to hot to very hot in the north and west.Friday 7 NovemberA slight chance of thundery showers extending across the west of the State. Hot to very hot with fresh northerly winds, possibly raising areas of dust, ahead of a fresh and gusty southwesterly change moving over western districts during the day.Saturday 8 November A slight chance of thundery showers extending across the State apart from the Northeast Pastoral. Mild to warm about the agricultural area, hot to very hot inland. Moderate to fresh northeast to northwesterly winds in east, with a south to southwesterly change in the west in the morning, extending throughout the State by the evening. Cumulative rainfall totals until midnight Saturday are expected to be less than 2 mm, with local falls of up to 10 mm with thunderstorms. Sunday until TuesdayA slight chance of showers in the north on Sunday clearing by Monday morning. Also a slight chance of showers about the Kangaroo Island and the Lower South East early Monday morning.
