Australia -- Victoria Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Nov 3/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system just east of Victoria will drift southeastwards across the Tasman Sea during Tuesday. A low pressure trough approaching from the west will reach far western Victoria Tuesday morning before moving through central parts of the State in the afternoon and the east overnight. A small low pressure system is expected to form along this trough over eastern Bass Strait on Wednesday morning then drift southeastwards over the Tasman Sea later on Wednesday and Thursday as the next high pressure system moves over the State. This high will move over the Tasman Sea Friday as the next trough approaches western Victoria.

Light winds tending northeast to northerly.Tuesday 4 NovemberIsolated thundery showers developing over southwest Victoria during the morning then extending to remaining southern and mountain districts late morning and during the afternoon before clearing eastwards. Dry over the northern plains. Warm to very warm and partly cloudy with moderate to fresh northerly winds ahead of a cooler, gusty southwest to southerly change reaching far western areas during the morning then extending to central districts in the afternoon and the east at night. Possible raised dust over the northwest following the change.Fire Danger -  Generally high to very high reaching Severe in the Mallee.Wednesday 5 NovemberIsolated showers or drizzle patches in the southeast, clearing by the afternoon. A mild and mostly sunny day in the north but cooler and partly cloudy in the south. Moderate to locally fresh southwest to southerly winds.Thursday 6 NovemberFine. A mild to warm and partly cloudy day with generally light winds and afternoon coastal seabreezes.Friday 7 NovemberFine, warm to hot and mostly sunny inland with light to moderate northerly winds. A little milder near the coast with afternoon seabreezes.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:00 am EDT Tuesday.Product IDV10310
