MELBOURNE - Nov 3/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A high over eastern Victoria will move over the Tasman Sea by Tuesday morning. A trough will move over western parts of South Australia this evening, then continue over central and eastern districts on Tuesday. Another high will move over the Bight on Wednesday then continue eastwards to be located over the Tasman Sea on Friday. Forecast for the rest of MondayThundery showers over the North West Pastoral district, mainly west of Coober Pedy. A slight chance of late evening showers and thunder about the southern coasts. A mild evening in the south, grading to mild to warm in the far north. Light to moderate east to northeasterly winds freshening in the west ahead of a milder southerly change extending over the west, reaching Port Lincoln and Tarcoola late this evening.Tuesday 4 NovemberA slight chance of morning showers and possible thunder about the southern coasts and Lower South East. Thundery showers northwest of about Coober Pedy. Warm to hot with northerly winds over eastern parts of the State, shifting milder southerly during the day.Wednesday 5 NovemberFine. Moderate southeasterly winds. Mild to warm about southern coasts, grading to hot to very hot over the north and west.Thursday 6 NovemberFine. Moderate southeast to northeasterly winds. Mild to warm about southern coasts, grading to hot to very hot in the north and west.Friday 7 November A slight chance of thundery showers extending across the west of the State. Hot to very hot with fresh northerly winds, possibly raising areas of dust, ahead of a fresh and gusty southwesterly change moving over western districts during the day. Cumulative rainfall totals until midnight Thursday are expected to be less than 2 mm, with local falls of 5 to 10 mm with thunderstorms in the northwest. Saturday until MondayA slight chance of showers showers extending across the State and clearing to the east by the end of the weekend.
