Australia -- Victoria Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Nov 2/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system just west of Victoria will drift across Victoria this morning then move steadily east over the Tasman Sea late today and during Tuesday. A low pressure trough will cross the Bight today to reach western Victoria on Tuesday morning then move through central parts of the State in the afternoon and the east overnight. A small low pressure system is expected to form along this trough over eastern Bass Strait on Wednesday morning then drift southeastwards over the Tasman Sea later on Wednesday and Thursday. A ridge of high pressure is then expected to extend across Victoria on Thursday.
Forecast for the rest of MondayFine apart from isolated early showers in the far east of Gippsland. A cold morning with local inland frosts. A mild to warm and mostly sunny day although high cloud developing later in the west. Light winds tending northeast to northerly and afternoon coastal seabreezes.Fire Danger -  Locally high in the west.Tuesday 4 NovemberFine apart from isolated light showers in the south during the morning and again in the evening. Warm to very warm and partly cloudy with moderate to fresh northerly winds ahead of a cooler southwesterly change developing in western areas during the morning then extending to central districts in the afternoon and the east and north at night.Wednesday 5 NovemberIsolated showers in the south and east, mostly during the morning. A mild and mostly sunny day in the north but cooler and partly cloudy in the south. Moderate to locally fresh southwest to southerly winds.Thursday 6 NovemberFine apart from the chance of a morning shower in the far east of Gippsland. A mild to warm and partly cloudy day with generally light winds.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm EDT Monday.Product IDV10310
