MELBOURNE - Nov 1/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A high pressure system south of the Bight is moving east extending a ridge across New South Wales. The high will move over the Tasman Sea by Monday and as it continue to move east the ridge over the state will weaken allowing a cold front to move through during Wednesday and Thursday. The next front is expected to cross southeastern Australia on Saturday and Sunday. Forecast for the rest of SundayMostly sunny. Southwest to southeasterly winds, fresh along much of the coast.Fire Danger - Very High in most northeastern districts.Monday 3 NovemberSlight chance of showers along the coast and adjacent ranges increasing to moderate in the north. Mostly sunny in elsewhere. Southeast to northeasterly winds.Tuesday 4 NovemberSlight chance of showers east of the Divide, increasing to moderate in the north. Partly cloudy elsewhere. Northwest to northeasterly winds, with a late southerly change in the southwest.Wednesday 5 NovemberSlight to moderate chance of showers in the east, and possible thunderstorms in the northeast. Partly cloudy in the west.
