Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Nov 1/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system is centred to the north of New Zealand while a trough and associated cold front move over southern and central New South Wales, bringing gusty and unsettled weather to many districts. Conditions will ease considerably on Sunday as the next high pressure system extends a ridge across the state in the trough's wake, restoring generally stable weather. By Monday this high is expected to be over the Tasman Sea, bringing a return to warmer northerly winds before the next trough arrives mid-week.
Forecast for the rest of SaturdayThe chance of showers and thunderstorms in the east, mostly clearing during the evening. Fine in the west. Fresh and gusty northwest to northeasterly winds in the northeast, with a cooler southwesterly change extending through remaining districts.Sunday 2 NovemberThe chance of showers and thunderstorms in the northeast. Fine and mostly sunny elsewhere. Southwest to southeasterly winds extending throughout, fresh along much of the coast.Fire Danger -  Very High in most northeastern districts.Monday 3 NovemberThe chance of showers along the coast and adjacent ranges, more likely in the north. Fine and mostly sunny in elsewhere. Southeast to northeasterly winds.Tuesday 4 NovemberThe chance of showers east of the Divide, more likely in the north. Fine and partly cloudy elsewhere. Northwest to northeasterly winds, with a late southerly change in the southwest.Wednesday 5 NovemberThe chance of showers in the east, and possible thunderstorms in the northeast. Fine in the west. Northeast to northwesterly winds in the northeast, and a cooler southerly change extending through the remainder.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 am EDT Sunday.Product IDN10031
