Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Oct 30/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A cold front over the far west early Friday morning will move northeastwards during the day to reach Moomba around midnight. A new high will move to a position over the Bight by Saturday night and will then move eastwards to be south of Mount Gambier late Sunday night. A trough will move over western parts during Monday then over central and eastern parts during Tuesday.
Forecast for the rest of FridayShowers and isolated thunderstorms in the west early morning extending eastwards during the day to reach most parts, apart from northeast of about Marree. Showers possibly tending to patchy rain over the agricultural area in the evening. Warm to hot with moderate to fresh northeast to northwesterly winds ahead of a cooler, fresh south to southwesterly change near the western border early morning extending eastwards to reach Moomba around midnight.Saturday 1 NovemberA chance of showers about the southern agricultural area, clearing in the afternoon. A chance of thundery showers over the Northeast Pastoral district, contracting northeastwards and clearing during the late afternoon or evening. Cool to mild in the south, grading to warm in the north. Moderate to fresh southwest to southeast winds, strong at times about southern coasts.Sunday 2 NovemberFine apart from a chance of morning showers about the Lower South East coast and southern Kangaroo Island. Mild in the south, grading to warm to hot in the north. Light to moderate south to southeast winds and fresh afternoon coastal sea breezes.Monday 3 November
A chance of thundery showers developing in the far northwest. Fine elsewhere. Warm to hot with moderate east to northeasterly winds freshening in the west ahead of a milder southerly change in the west.
Cumulative rainfall totals until midnight Monday are expected to be generally 2 to 5 mm, with local falls of 5 to 10 mm with thunderstorms.
Tuesday until ThursdayFine apart from the chance of thundery showers in the northwest during Tuesday and Wednesday and the slight chance of showers about the Lower South East coast on Thursday. South to southwesterly winds extending throughout early in the period then turning east to northeasterly in the west during Thursday. Mild to warm about southern coasts, grading to hot to very hot over in the north and west.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm CDT Friday.Product IDS10033
