Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Oct 29/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A second high pressure system over the Tasman Sea today will result in fine conditions continuing across the state, with a warm day in the west. During Friday the high is forecast to strengthen over the Tasman Sea while a cold front approaches from the southwest, with hot, dry northwesterly winds developing between these systems over inland areas. The front will move through southern, western and central districts on Saturday with hot, strong and gusty northwesterly winds over much of the northeastern half of the state prior to the change. Only isolated shower and thunderstorm activity is expected with this front. The change should move through the northeast on Sunday with milder southwest to southeast winds extending throughout. Current guidance suggests temperatures will increase through the west of the state again next week.
