Australia -- Victoria Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Oct 29/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system over northern Victoria will reach the Tasman Sea on Thursday and maintain a ridge over Victoria until late Thursday. A cold front will move from the Southern Ocean to reach western Victoria late on Friday afternoon then cross the remainder of the State by Saturday morning. Another high pressure system will move over Bight waters later on Saturday drifting slowly towards western Victoria on Sunday.
Forecast for the rest of WednesdayFine apart from isolated showers about the southwest coast. Light to moderate west to southwesterly winds.Thursday 30 OctoberFine apart from morning fog patches in the south and the chance of showers about the west and central coasts during the morning. Mild to warm and mostly sunny in the south, becoming partly cloudy in the south. Light west to southwest winds and afternoon coastal seabreezes.Friday 31 OctoberBecoming cloudy with isolated showers and the chance of thunderstorms developing in the west during the afternoon and extending eastwards during the evening. A band of rain developing later in the west. Warm to hot with moderate to locally fresh northerly winds ahead of a cooler southwesterly change in the west, extending to the east at night.Saturday 1 NovemberPatchy rain and isolated thunderstorms in the east clearing during the morning. Isolated showers to follow contracting to the coast during the afternoon. Cool to mild and mostly cloudy in the south with moderate to fresh southwesterly winds. Warm and becoming mostly sunny in the north.Sunday 2 NovemberIsolated showers in the south clearing during the afternoon. A cool to mild and sunny day in the north, partly cloudy in the south.
