Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Oct 27/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system near the Bight is pushing a ridge into New South Wales in the wake of a trough, which has now moved into southeast Queensland. This high is expected to be the dominant synoptic feature in the region through the next few days, promoting fine conditions in most areas as it drifts slowly east. Conditions will warm up towards the end of the week as the high reaches the Tasman Sea and draws down warmer northerly winds ahead of the next trough and cold front, currently expected during Saturday and Sunday.
Forecast for the rest of TuesdayFine apart from an afternoon shower or two about the southern Alps, and the chance of a shower or thunderstorms on the northern tablelands. Mostly sunny elsewhere. West to southwesterly winds, fresh and gusty in the southeast, tending southeast to northeasterly along the northern half of the coast.Fire Danger -  Very High in the northeast.Wednesday 29 OctoberSlight to moderate chance of showers along the central and northern coasts. Fine and mostly sunny elsewhere. Southwest to southeasterly winds, tending light and variable in the far west.Thursday 30 OctoberFine apart from the chance of showers or thunderstorms in the far north coast, chiefly on the tablelands. Mostly sunny elsewhere. Northeasterly winds near the coast, tending light and variable inland.Friday 31 OctoberSlight to moderate chance of showers on the far north coast and adjacent range.
