MELBOURNE - Oct 27/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A high forming over the Bight on Tuesday will move east across eastern states to be centred over the Tasman Sea on Thursday. A trough of low pressure will move over South Australia on Friday. Forecast for the rest of TuesdaySlight chance of showers about the southern agricultural area, more likely about the Lower South East, all contracting to the Lower South East coast during the day and clearing in the evening. Moderate to fresh west to southwesterly winds in the south, light to moderate southwest to southeasterly winds in the north. Cool to mild in the south grading to warm to hot in the north.Wednesday 29 OctoberFine. Mild to warm in the south grading to hot in the north. Light winds turning northeast to northwesterly during the afternoon.Thursday 30 OctoberSlight chance of thundery showers developing west of about Ernabella to Nullarbor. Warm to hot. Light to moderate northeast to northwesterly winds.Friday 31 October The slight chance of thundery showers extending across the state apart from the North East Pastoral district. Warm to hot with moderate to fresh northerly winds shifting cooler southwesterly during the day. Cumulative rainfall totals until midnight Friday are expected to be less than 2 mm, increasing to 2 to 5 mm over the coastal areas of the South East districts. Saturday until MondayThe slight chance of showers about the southern agricultural areas, clearing on Saturday. Cooler with light to moderate southerly winds turning warm to hot northerly during the weekend.
