MELBOURNE - Oct 27/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A cold front/low pressure trough will move across western and southeastern New South Wales today and through the northeast during Monday bringing milder southerly winds. Behind the front a weak high pressure ridge will develop over most of the districts on Tuesday and another low pressure trough will develop over the far northeast of the state on Wednesday. Another cold front is expected to move through the southeastern Australia during Saturday and Sunday. Forecast for the rest of MondayIsolated clearing showers and thunderstorms in the far southeast. Slight to moderate chance of showers in the remainder of the eastern parts with the chance of thunderstorms. Areas of dust in the east. Mostly clear in the west. Dusty west to southwesterly winds in the west and southeast, Northwest to northeasterly winds in the northeast.Tuesday 28 OctoberA slight chance of showers in the northeast with the chance of thunderstorms. Mostly sunny in the remainder. Southerly winds.Fire Danger - Very High in northeast.Wednesday 29 OctoberSlight to moderate chance of showers along central and northern coasts. Southwest to southeasterly winds.Thursday 30 OctoberSlight to moderate chance of showers on the far north coast and adjacent range with the chance of thunderstorms. Mostly sunny elsewhere. Variable winds inland tending northeasterly along the coast.Friday 31 OctoberSlight to moderate chance of showers on the far north coast and adjacent range.
