Australia -- Victoria Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Oct 26/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A cold front over western Victoria will rapidly cross the remainder of the State this morning. Another cold front will move through Bass Strait on Tuesday as a high pressure system crosses waters south of the Bight. The high will weaken as it move across Victoria on Wednesday, reaching the Tasman Sea Thursday but will continue to extend a weak ridge across Victoria.
Forecast for the rest of MondayA cooler, fresh west to southwesterly change in the west extending to remaining areas during the morning. Scattered showers over the north clearing eastwards during the morning and early afternoon. Scattered showers on and south of the ranges becoming isolated and contracting to the coast by the evening. Scattered thunderstorms clearing eastwards during the morning and early afternoon.Tuesday 28 OctoberIsolated showers developing over mainly southern and mountain areas, scattered near the coast. A cool to mild day with moderate to fresh west to southwest winds, strong and gusty near the coast.Wednesday 29 OctoberEarly fog patches then fine, mild and sunny inland with generally light winds. Cooler and partly cloudy near the coast with isolated showers and moderate northwest winds tending southwesterly.Thursday 30 OctoberFine and mostly sunny after early morning fog patches. A mild to warm and mostly sunny day with light winds inland and afternoon coastal seabreezes.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm EDT Monday.Product IDV10310
