Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Oct 19/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure ridge over New South Wales is weakening and a cold front will bring southerly change to the far south late on Sunday. The change will extend through the remainder of the state during Monday as another high pressure system moves towards Tasmania extending a ridge to the north coast. Thia high will move over the southwestern Tasman Sea during Wednesday strengthening the ridge to the north. A low pressure trough is expected to move over the southwest of the state during Thursday as the high weakens.
Forecast for the rest of SundayMostly clear. North to northeasterly winds, freshening along the coast in the afternoon ahead of a late southerly change on the South Coast.Monday 20 OctoberMedium chance of showers about the southern and central coasts and adjacent ranges. Slight chance of showers on the northern coast late in the day. Partly cloudy elsewhere. Light winds in the north, ahead of a moderate to fresh south to southeasterly change extending throughout.Fire Danger -  Very High in the North Western and on the North Coast.Tuesday 21 OctoberMedium chance of showers along the northern coast. Slight chance of showers on the south and central coasts and adjacent ranges. Mostly sunny west of Divide. East to northeast winds.Wednesday 22 OctoberSlight chance of showers on the north coast and in the far southwest. Partly cloudy elsewhere. East to southeast winds in the far northeast and northeasterly winds in the remainder.Thursday 23 OctoberModerate chance of showers in the southeast. Partly cloudy elsewhere.
