Australia -- Victoria Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Oct 18/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system is over the Tasman Sea. A low pressure trough over the far southwest of Victoria will move across the remainder of the State today. Another high pressure system will pass to the south of Victoria on Monday then drift eastwards over the Tasman Sea on Tuesday. Another low pressure trough will reach western Victoria later on Wednesday.
Forecast for the rest of SundayWarm to hot and mostly sunny in the north and east with moderate to fresh north to northwesterly winds. A cooler, squally south to southwesterly change over the southwest during the morning, gradually extending to remaining districts, reaching the far northeast at night. Areas of raised dust developing in the northwest with the change. Drizzle patches developing over the south at night behind the change.Monday 20 OctoberFine apart from the medium chance of showers over Gippsland during the morning. Warm inland but cooler in the south with moderate to fresh southeasterly winds. Morning cloud in the south, otherwise mostly sunny.Tuesday 21 OctoberFine and mostly sunny. A warm to hot day with light to moderate north to northeasterly winds. Milder afternoon sea breezes along the Gippsland coast.Wednesday 22 OctoberFine at first. Cloud increasing from the west with the slight chance of showers developing over the west from the afternoon. Showers becoming more likely in the southwest at night. Warm to hot with moderate to fresh northerly winds, shifting cooler southwesterly in the west later.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm EDT Sunday.Product IDV10310
