MELBOURNE - Oct 18/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A high over the Tasman Sea will remain near stationary. A weak trough of low pressure over western and southern coastal parts will move over southern parts of the State today. Another trough will move over western coasts on Monday, then extend slowly across central waters on Tuesday and eastern waters early Wednesday. Forecast for the rest of SundayFine, dry and hot to very hot with moderate to fresh northerly winds, tending milder south to southeasterly about western and southern coasts in the morning then extending over the agricultural area during the afternoon and evening.Monday 20 OctoberSlight chance of thundery showers in the far west during the late afternoon and evening. Hot to very hot with moderate to fresh northerly winds, shifting milder southerly in the far west during the day.Tuesday 21 OctoberSlight chance of thundery showers over western districts. Hot to very hot with fresh northerly winds possibly resulting in areas of raised dust. A milder, moderate southerly change extending over western districts during the day.Wednesday 22 October A slight chance of showers about southern and western coasts. Fine elsewhere. Hot to very hot in the northeast with light winds. A mild to warm southwest to southeasterly change extending throughout during the day. Cumulative rainfall totals until midnight Wednesday are expected to be negligible. Thursday until SaturdayThe chance of showers about southern and western coasts, clearing Thursday afternoon. Fine otherwise.
