Australia -- Victoria Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Oct 17/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system just east of Bass Strait will drift slowly eastwards over the Tasman Sea during the weekend. A low pressure trough will reach the far southwest of Victoria on Saturday night, moving across the remainder of the State during Sunday. Another high pressure system will pass to the south of Victoria on Monday then drift eastwards over the Tasman Sea on Tuesday.
Forecast for the rest of SaturdayFine apart from the slight chance of showers in the southwest during the morning and early afternoon. A warm to very warm and mainly sunny day in the north. Mild to warm and partly cloudy in the south. Light to moderate northeast to northerly winds, locally freshening in the south. Afternoon coastal seabreezes in Gippsland.Sunday 19 OctoberWarm to hot and mostly sunny day in the north and east with moderate to fresh northwest to northerly winds. A cooler, gusty southwest to southerly change over the southwest during the morning, gradually extending to remaining districts, reaching the far northeast at night. Cloud increasing after the change but remaining dry.Monday 20 OctoberFine apart from the slight chance of showers over East Gippsland during the morning. Warm inland but cooler in the south with moderate to locally fresh southeasterly winds. Morning cloud in the south, otherwise mostly sunny.Tuesday 21 OctoberFine apart from the slight chance of showers over the eastern highlands during the afternoon. A warm to hot and mostly sunny day with light to moderate northeast to northerly winds. Milder sea breezes developing along the Gippsland coast.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm EDT Saturday.Product IDV10310
