Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Oct 17/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high near Tasmania will move slowly eastwards to be over the Tasman Sea by this evening. A weak trough of low pressure will move into the far west late this evening then over western and southern coastal parts of the State over the weekend. Another trough will move over western parts of the State early next week.
Forecast for the rest of FridayMostly clear. Light to moderate north to northeasterly winds shifting southerly in the far west in the late evening.Saturday 18 OctoberFine. Some high cloud increasing in the west and some morning cloud in the southeast, otherwise mostly sunny. Hot to very hot with moderate to fresh northerly winds, fresh to strong in the west during the morning. Winds tending southerly about far western coastal areas.Sunday 19 OctoberFine, dry and hot to very hot with moderate to fresh northerly winds, shifting milder southerly about western and southern coasts.Monday 20 OctoberSlight chance of thundery showers in the far west during the late afternoon and evening. Hot to very hot with moderate to fresh northerly winds, shifting milder southerly in the far west during the day.Tuesday 21 October
Slight chance of thundery showers over western districts. Hot to very hot ahead of a milder moderate southerly change extending over western districts during the day.
Cumulative rainfall totals until midnight Tuesday are expected to be less than 2 mm in the west with possible isolated falls up to 5 mm. Nil rain is expected elsewhere.
Wednesday until FridayThe chance of showers about southern and western coasts, clearing by Thursday afternoon. Fine elsewhere. Mild to warm grading to hot to very hot in the north and east, becoming milder in the southeast during Wednesday then hot conditions returning to the west on Friday.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:30 am CDT Saturday.Product IDS10033
