Australia -- Queensland Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Oct 15/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Queensland was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high over southern Australia will maintain a flow of cool to mild, dry air over most of Queensland for the next few days.
Forecast for the rest of WednesdayFine, dry and cool to mild across the state except for the chance of some showers or thunderstorms over the Peninsula district. Moderate to fresh southwest to southeast winds.Fire Danger -  Very High over much of the northern interior.Thursday 16 OctoberThe high will maintain fine and dry conditions across Queensland except for the chance of some showers or thunderstorms over the Peninsula. Possible early frost on the Granite Belt.Friday 17 OctoberThe high should move eastwards into the Tasman Sea, and will keep most of the state fine, dry and sunny except for the chance of some showers about the far southeast and also over the Peninsula district.Saturday 18 OctoberThe high should remain over the Tasman Sea. Somewhat moist onshore winds out of the high should produce some showers about Queensland's southeast coast and the east coast of the Peninsula district. Fine and sunny elsewhere.Sunday until TuesdayThe air across Queensland will remain dry, keeping the state fine, dry and mostly sunny except for some showers about the far east, spreading a little inland about the southeast of the state during the week.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm EST Wednesday.Product IDQ10700
