MELBOURNE - Oct 13/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A strong high south of WA will move to a position south of the Bight today, then move only slowly eastwards to be over Tasmania by Friday night. Forecast for the rest of MondayA medium chance of showers about southern coasts and the Lower South East district, decreasing to a slight chance of showers over the northern agricultural area and south of the Pastoral districts. The chance of thunderstorms and possible small hail southeast of about Kingscote to Renmark, contracting eastwards during the afternoon, clearing during the evening. Showers contracting to southern coasts in the evening. Cool to cold in the south, grading to warm in the far north. Moderate to fresh southerly winds.Tuesday 14 OctoberEarly morning frost patches over the agricultural area and south of the Pastoral districts. A slight chance of showers about southern coasts and ranges to the south of about Cleve to Bordertown, contracting to the Lower South East coast by evening. Cool in the south grading to mild in the far north and west with light to moderate south to southeasterly winds.Wednesday 15 OctoberEarly morning frost patches over the agricultural area and south of the Pastoral districts. A slight chance of showers near the Lower South East coast. Cool to mild in the south grading to warm in the north and west. Light to moderate southwest to southeasterly winds.Thursday 16 October The slight chance of showers south of about Renmark to Port Lincoln, more likely about southern coasts and over the Lower South East. Cool to mild in the south, grading to warm in the north and west, with light to moderate southwest to southeasterly winds, turning east to northeasterly in the west. Cumulative rainfall totals until midnight Thursday are expected to be less than 2 mm with isolated falls of 2 to 5 mm about the southern coasts and ranges. Friday until SundayFine. Becoming warmer from the west to be warm to hot throughout on Sunday.
