MELBOURNE - Oct 11/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A high 1021 hPa over the Bight will move east quickly across the State before a cold front tracking across South Australia on Sunday. Another high will develop south of the Bight early next week. Forecast for the rest of SaturdayFine. Cloudy in the south clearing to a sunny afternoon. Cool to mild in the south, grading to warm to hot in the north. Moderate to fresh southwest to southeasterly winds, easing during the afternoon.Sunday 12 OctoberPossible early morning fog patches over agricultural areas. A slight chance of showers developing about the coastal parts of the southern agricultural area during late afternoon and evening. Mild to warm in the south, grading to warm to hot in the north. Light to moderate northerly winds shifting moderate southerly during the day.Monday 13 OctoberA high chance of showers about southern coasts and the Lower South East district, with possible thunderstorms and small hail, decreasing to a slight chance of showers over remaining agricultural areas and the West Coast district. Showers gradually easing and contracting to southern coasts and ranges late in the day. Cool to mild, grading to warm in the far north. Moderate to fresh southerly winds easing during the day.Tuesday 14 October A slight chance of showers about southern coasts contracting south to the Lower South East district later in the day. Possible early morning frost patches over northern agricultural areas and southern Pastoral districts. Cool to mild with south to southeasterly winds. Cumulative rainfall totals until midnight Tuesday are expected to be 2 to 5 mm about southern agricultural areas, with less than 2 mm elsewhere, mostly occurring on Monday. Isolated falls of 5 to 10 mm are possible about the southern coasts and ranges. Wednesday until FridayFine apart from a slight chance of showers about southern coasts and ranges, clearing by the end of the week.
