Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Oct 10/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A trough of low pressure over SA will continue to move eastwards reaching a line Renmark to Moomba late this evening. A weak high will move over the Bight on Saturday and quickly move across the State to allow a cold front to track across South Australia on Sunday. A strong high will develop south of the Bight early next week.
Forecast for the rest of FridayFine. A clear evening in the far north, partly cloudy elsewhere. Cool to mild in the south, grading to warm in the northeast. Moderate to fresh southwest to southerly winds extending throughout and easing overnight.Saturday 11 OctoberFine apart from a slight chance of early morning drizzle south of about Mount Gambier. Cool to mild in the south, grading to warm to hot in the north. Moderate to fresh southwest to southeasterly winds, easing during the afternoon.Sunday 12 OctoberPossible early morning fog patches over agricultural areas. A slight chance of showers developing about the coastal parts of the southern agricultural area during late afternoon and evening. Mild to warm in the south, grading to warm to hot in the north. Light to moderate northerly winds shifting moderate southerly during the day.Monday 13 OctoberA high chance of showers about southern coasts and the Lower South East district, with possible thunderstorms and small hail, decreasing to a slight chance of showers over remaining agricultural areas and the West Coast district. Showers gradually easing and contracting to southern coasts and ranges late in the day. Cool to mild, grading to warm in the far north. Moderate to fresh southerly winds easing during the day.Tuesday 14 October
A slight chance of showers about southern coasts contracting south to the Lower South East district later in the day. Possible early morning frost patches over northern agricultural areas and southern Pastoral districts. Cool to mild with south to southeasterly winds.
Cumulative rainfall totals until midnight Tuesday are expected to be 2 to 5 mm about southern agricultural areas, with less than 2 mm elsewhere, mostly occurring on Monday. Isolated falls of 5 to 10 mm are possible about the southern coasts and ranges.
Wednesday until FridayFine apart from a slight chance of showers about southern coasts and ranges, clearing by the end of the week. Cool to mild with southeasterly winds, becoming warmer later in the period as winds turn east to northeasterly.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:30 am CDT Saturday.Product IDS10033
