Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Oct 8/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A trough of low pressure will move over the far west of the State today reaching Ceduna late evening and then progress eastwards on Friday reaching a line Kingscote to Oodnadatta late morning and Bordertown to Peterborough to Moomba late evening. A high will move over the Bight on Saturday. A deep low will move eastwards south of the State on Sunday and Monday, extending a cold front across the State.
Forecast for the rest of ThursdayFine apart from early fog patches over Kangaroo Island and the South East districts. Mild to warm in the south, hot in the north and west, very hot in the far west. Moderate northerly winds freshening in the far west, ahead of a fresh to strong southwesterly change in the far west later in the day.Friday 10 OctoberPossible isolated showers about coastal areas. Warm to hot at first with moderate northerly winds, freshening later in the morning ahead of a milder, fresh and gusty south to southwest change in the west, extending into eastern districts in the evening.Saturday 11 OctoberFine apart from possible isolated showers about central and eastern coasts. Cool to mild in the south, grading to warm to hot in the north. Moderate to fresh southwest to southeasterly winds, easing during the afternoon.Sunday 12 October
Early morning fog patches in the Lower South East. A chance of showers developing about the southern agricultural area during the day, becoming more likely over Kangaroo Island during the evening. Light and variable winds tending moderate to fresh northwest to southwesterly winds in the south later during the day. Cool to mild in the south grading to warm to hot in the north.
Cumulative rainfall totals until midnight Sunday are expected to be less than 2 mm.
Monday until WednesdayA chance of showers about the agricultural area, more likely about the southern agricultural area, and a high chance about the Lower South East district on Monday. Chance of showers contracting to the central and South East districts on Tuesday and further to the southern coasts on Wednesday.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm CDT Thursday.Product IDS10033
