Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Oct 7/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high 1024 hPa over South Australia will move over eastern States on Thursday. A trough of low pressure will move over the far west of the State on Thursday and then progress eastwards across the State on Friday. Another high will develop south of the Bight during the weekend.
Forecast for the rest of WednesdayEarly morning fog patches over the agricultural area. Isolated showers over the Lower South East district, clearing by evening. The chance of isolated morning showers over the Upper South East district and the south of Kangaroo Island. Cool to mild in the south, mild to warm in the north. Light winds, tending moderate westerly in the far south and moderate easterly in the far north.Thursday 9 OctoberFine apart from early fog patches over Kangaroo Island and the South East districts. Mild in the south, warm to hot across the north and west. Moderate northerly winds freshening in the far west, ahead of a fresh to strong southwesterly change in the far west later in the day.Friday 10 OctoberWarm at first with moderate northerly winds and areas of high cloud increasing ahead of a cooler, fresh and gusty southwesterly wind change extending across the State during the the day. Possible isolated showers about coastal areas following the wind change.Saturday 11 October
Fine apart from possible isolated showers about central and eastern coasts. Cool to mild in the south, grading to warm to hot in the north. Light to moderate southwest to southeasterly winds.
Cumulative rainfall totals until midnight Saturday are expected to be less than 2 mm.
Sunday until TuesdayA chance of showers about the southern agricultural area on Sunday, more likely further south. Fine for the early part of next week. Cool to mild in the south and mild to warm in the north.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm CDT Wednesday.Product IDS10033
