Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Oct 7/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high south of the Bight will move eastwards to be over Victoria Wednesday night and over the Tasman Sea by Thursday night. A trough of low pressure will develop over the west of the State on Thursday, and move slowly eastwards on Friday. Another high will develop south of the Bight during the weekend.
Forecast for the rest of TuesdayPossible isolated showers about the southern coasts and the Lower South East. Cool in the south with light to moderate west to southwesterly winds. Mild in the north with mainly light southwest to southeasterly winds.Wednesday 8 OctoberIsolated showers over the Lower South East district, clearing by evening. The chance of isolated showers over the Upper South East district until early afternoon. Cool to mild in the south, mild to warm in the north. Mainly light winds turning southeast to northeasterly across the north and west of the State.Thursday 9 OctoberFine apart from early fog patches over Kangaroo Island and the South East districts. Mild in the south, warm to hot across the north and west. Moderate northerly winds freshening in the far west ahead of a fresh and gusty southwesterly wind change in the far west later in the day.Friday 10 OctoberWarm at first with moderate northerly winds and areas of high cloud increasing ahead of a cooler, fresh and gusty southwesterly wind change extending across the State during the the day. Possible isolated showers about coastal areas following the wind change.Saturday 11 October
Fine apart from possible isolated showers about coastal parts of the southern agricultural area. Cool to mild in the south, grading to warm to hot in the north. Light to moderate southwest to southeasterly winds.
Cumulative rainfall totals until midnight Saturday are expected to be less than 1 mm over the southern agricultural area, increasing to 1 to 2 mm about southern coasts. Isolated falls of 2 to 5 mm are possible about the Lower South East coast.
Sunday until TuesdayA chance of showers about the southern agricultural area on Sunday, more likely further south. Fine for the early part of next week. Remaining generally mild in the south and mild to warm in the north.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:30 am CDT Wednesday.Product IDS10033
