MELBOURNE - Oct 6/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A high will develop over the far west on Tuesday and then move eastwards to be centred near Port Lincoln on Wednesday. A trough of low pressure will develop over southern and western coasts on Thursday, and move slowly eastwards on Friday. Forecast for the rest of TuesdayPossible isolated showers over the southern agricultural area and the southern Flinders Ranges, contracting to southern coasts and the Lower South East in the afternoon. Early fog patches west of Tarcoola. Cool to mild in the south with moderating west to southwesterly winds. Mild to warm in the north with light to moderate southwest to southeasterly winds.Wednesday 8 OctoberThe chance of isolated showers over Kangaroo Island and the South East district. Cool to mild in the south, warm in the north. Light to moderate southwest to southeasterly winds, tending east to northeasterly in the west.Thursday 9 OctoberEarly fog patches over the southeast of the State, then fine apart from a chance of isolated showers about the Lower South East coast in the late evening. Mild in the south, warm in the north and hot in the far west. Light winds turning moderate southerly about the coasts.Friday 10 October Possible isolated showers over the southern agricultural area. Mild in the south, grading to hot in the north. Light winds, turning moderate to fresh southerly in the south and west. Cumulative rainfall totals until midnight Friday are expected to be less than 1 mm over the southern agricultural area and the southern Flinders Ranges, increasing to 1 to 2 mm about southern coasts and in the Lower South East. Saturday until MondayPossible isolated showers near southern and western coasts, extending over the southern agricultural area on Sunday, then clearing on Monday.
