Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Oct 5/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system over the Tasman Sea will gradually move east today. A strong cold front is expected to cross southwestern New South Wales late Monday and most of the remainder on Tuesday, preceded by very warm to hot northwest winds. The next high will move into the west of the state on Wednesday in the wake of the front, then should move slowly east to reach the Tasman Sea by Friday.
Forecast for the rest of MondayIsolated late showers and rain in the south, more widespread near the Victorian border. A warm to hot day in most areas. Winds tending northwest to northeasterly and freshening during the day. A late squally southwesterly change with the possibility of raised dust.Fire Danger -  Very High for North Coast, Greater Sydney Region, North Western, Northern Riverina, South Western, Far WesternTuesday 7 OctoberRain or showers in central and southern parts clearing during the day. Isolated showers redeveloping on the southern half of the coast in the evening. North to northwesterly winds ahead of a cooler west to southwesterly change extending through most districts by late evening.Wednesday 8 OctoberIsolated showers along the coast and adjacent ranges. Fine remainder. Southwest to southeast winds.Thursday 9 OctoberIsolated showers along the coast and adjacent ranges. Fine remainder.
