Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Oct 5/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A strong cold front will move across South Australia on Monday, reaching Port Lincoln to Pukatja late morning, Robe to Oodnadatta late afternoon and Moomba late evening. A high will develop over the far west on Tuesday and then move eastwards to be centred near Port Lincoln on Wednesday.
Forecast for the rest of MondayIsolated showers south of about Leigh Creek. The chance of isolated thunderstorms south of Tarcoola to Renmark, contracting east and clearing in the evening. Warm in the south, hot over the remainder with fresh to strong and squally northerly winds, reaching gale force about the ranges ahead of a milder, fresh to strong west to southwest change, reaching a line Port Lincoln to Pukatja late morning, Robe to Oodnadatta late afternoon and Moomba late evening. Areas of raised dust ahead of and near the change.Tuesday 7 OctoberPossible isolated showers over the southern agricultural area and Flinders Ranges, chiefly about southern coasts. Cool to mild in the south with moderating west to southwesterly winds. Mild to warm in the north with light to moderate southwest to southeasterly winds.Wednesday 8 OctoberThe chance of isolated showers over Kangaroo Island and the South East district. Cool to mild in the south, warm in the north. Light to moderate southwest to southeasterly winds, tending east to northeasterly in the west.Thursday 9 October
Early fog patches over the southeast of the State, then fine apart from a slight chance of isolated showers about the Lower South East coast in the morning and evening. Mild in the south, warm in the north and hot in the far west. Light winds turning moderate southerly about the coasts.
Cumulative rainfall totals until midnight Thursday are expected to be less than 2 mm south of about Leigh Creek, with falls of 2 to 10 mm over the Lower South East district.
Friday until SundayPossible isolated showers over the southern agricultural area, contracting to southern coasts on Saturday then extending across ocean coasts on Sunday.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm CDT Monday.Product IDS10033
