USDA National Grain Review

ST. JOSEPH - Oct 3/14 - SNS -- The USDA issued its latest weekly national grain market review, covering the period through Oct 3.

WEEKLY NATIONAL GRAIN MARKET REVIEW
Compared to last week, grain and soybean bids were mixed. Corn and soybeans
saw pressure from the on-going harvest and good yields. However, heavy rain and
a cold front moved in across the corn-belt which slowed progress in the field
lending support to the grains. Reports of frost were reported in the upper
Midwest but will not have an impact on the extent of the crop. Harvest pace is
slower than normal with 12 percent of the corn and 10 percent of the soybeans
harvested. The USDA report was released Tuesday with slightly bullish stocks
for soybeans coming in at 92 mb, less than was expected. Corn came in within
expected range with 1,236 bb. Wheat saw support from good weekly export sales
