Australia -- Victoria Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Oct 2/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system near Mt Gambier will drift across Victoria during Friday then move over the northern Tasman Sea on Saturday. A weak cold front will reach southwest Victoria during Saturday afternoon, reaching central areas on Saturday night and then clear the east on Sunday morning. A stronger cold front will move rapidly towards Victoria on Monday morning, reaching western Victoria late afternoon and central and eastern districts in the evening and at night.
Forecast for the rest of FridayMorning fog patches, mainly in the west. The chance of morning drizzle in the south then a fine afternoon. Cool to mild in the south with cloud mostly clearing during the afternoon. Mild and mostly sunny over the north. Generally light winds.Saturday 4 OctoberFine apart from early morning fog patches in the east. Early frost in the northeast then a mild to warm and mostly sunny day with moderate to fresh northerly winds shifting cooler southwesterly in far western districts during the afternoon and central districts during the evening. Possible showers in the southwest following the change.Sunday 5 OctoberFine apart from possible early morning showers about the coast. Partly cloudy with mainly moderate southwest to southerly winds extending throughout.Monday 6 OctoberWarm to hot day with northerly winds freshening. A cooler southwesterly change reaching the southwest in the afternoon, central districts in the evening and the east at night.
