Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Oct 2/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system centred near Kangaroo Island will move to the Tasman Sea by Friday night. A trough will move into the far west late Friday, then move across western and southern parts of the State on Saturday. Another high pressure system will develop over the Bight later Saturday and will then move southeastwards on Sunday ahead of a strong cold front on Monday.
Forecast for the rest of ThursdayFine. Partly cloudy this evening in the far southeast, clear elsewhere. Cool to mild. Mainly light to moderate south to southeast winds.Friday 3 OctoberPossible early morning fog about eastern parts of Eyre Peninsula, the Murraylands, Kangaroo Island and South East districts. Possible isolated thunderstorms developing about the western border with little to no rainfall. Mild to warm, grading to hot in the north and west. Light to moderate northeast to northerly winds, freshening in the west. Winds shifting fresh southwesterly near the western border during the evening.Saturday 4 OctoberPossible isolated showers about coastal parts of the Lower South East. Possible isolated thunderstorms about western districts with little to no rainfall. Warm to hot with freshening northerly winds ahead of a milder, moderate to fresh southwest to southerly change over the agricultural area and western districts.Sunday 5 OctoberSlight chance of isolated early morning showers about the southern coasts. Dry otherwise. Mild to warm over southern agricultural areas grading to warm to hot over remaining parts of the State. Generally light winds, southeasterly in the south and northeasterly in the north.Monday 6 October
Warm to hot conditions and fresh to strong and gusty northerly winds developing ahead of a fresh to strong and gusty southwesterly change moving across agricultural areas and adjacent pastoral areas during the day. Possible isolated thunderstorms with the change with little to no rainfall. Possible areas of raised dust across Pastoral districts. Possible isolated showers developing over the agricultural area, mainly with and following the change.
Cumulative rainfall totals until midnight Monday are expected to be less than 2 mm over the South East districts and southern parts of Kangaroo Island. Little to no rainfall expected elsewhere.
Tuesday until ThursdayA chance of isolated showers about southern agricultural areas, contracting to the south and clearing by the end of the period. Generally mild with light to moderate southwest to southeasterly winds.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:30 am CST Friday.Product IDS10033
