Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Oct 1/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system centred near Kangaroo Island will move over the Tasman Sea during Friday. A weak trough will move into the far west late Friday then move across remaining parts of the west and south on Saturday. Another high pressure system will develop over the Bight later Saturday and will then move southeastwards on Sunday ahead of a strong cold front on Monday.
Forecast for the rest of ThursdayIsolated showers about the Lower South East, possibly extending to southern parts of Kangaroo Island and the Upper South East, mostly during the morning. Possible early morning fog patches over Eyre Peninsula and parts of the southeast. Patchy light early morning frost about the northern agricultural area. Mild in the south grading to warm in the north and hot in the far west. Light to moderate southwest to southeasterly winds in the south, tending southeast to northeasterly in the northwest.Friday 3 OctoberFine apart from possible early morning fog about eastern parts of Eyre Peninsula, the Murraylands and South East districts. Warm in the south grading to hot in the north and west. Light to moderate northeasterly winds, freshening in the west. Winds shifting fresh southwesterly in the far southwest during the evening.Saturday 4 OctoberSlight chance of a shower about coastal parts of the Lower South East. Warm to hot with freshening northerly winds ahead of a milder, moderate to fresh southerly change over western and southern parts.Sunday 5 October
Dry. Mild to warm in the south grading to hot in the north. Light winds turning northeasterly then freshening in the west.
Cumulative rainfall totals until midnight Sunday are expected to be less than 2 mm over the South East districts and southern parts of Kangaroo Island.
Monday until WednesdayShowers developing over the southern agricultural area on Monday, extending to western coasts for a period on Tuesday morning then contracting to southern coastal districts on Wednesday. Fresh to strong and gusty northerly winds at first on Monday ahead of a milder southwesterly change during the day.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm CST Thursday.Product IDS10033
