MELBOURNE - Sep 30/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A high pressure system south of the Bight will move slowly eastwards to be centred south of Kangaroo Island on Thursday then over Tasmania on Friday. A weak trough will move across the State from late Friday through Saturday then a stronger cold front will develop on Monday. Forecast for the rest of WednesdayFine apart from a light morning shower about the central districts and the Lower South East. Cool to mild in the south, grading to warm to hot in the north. Light to moderate southeast to southwesterly winds.Thursday 2 OctoberFine apart from the slight chance of showers in the Lower South East, clearing during the afternoon. Mild in the south grading to hot in the north and the west. Light to moderate southwest to southeast winds, tending east to northeasterly in the west.Friday 3 OctoberEarly morning fog about Eyre Peninsula and the southeast, then fine and warm to hot with light to moderate northeasterly winds, freshening in the west. Winds shifting fresh southerly in the far west during the evening.Saturday 4 October Slight chance of a shower about southern coasts, fine over the remainder. Warm to hot with fresh northerly winds shifting southerly during the day. Cumulative rainfall totals until midnight Saturday are expected to be less than 2 mm over the South East districts. No measureable rainfall expected elsewhere. Sunday until TuesdaySlight chance of a shower about southern coasts on Sunday. Showers extending from the west on Monday, more likely around western and southern coastal districts. Showers contracting to the agricultural areas on Tuesday.
