Moderate Increase in Oat Stocks
WASHINGTON - Sep 30/14 - SNS -- Oats stored in all positions on September 1, 2014 totaled 73.2 million bushels, 15% above the stocks on September 1, 2013, according to the USDA's latest stocks in all positions estimates.
Of the total stocks on hand, 40.5 million bushels are stored on farms, 9% higher than a year ago. Off-farm stocks totaled 32.7 million bushels, 24% above the previous year.
Indicated disappearance during June - August 2014 totaled 22.0 million bushels, compared with 37.5 million bushels during the same period a year ago.
