Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Sep 29/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A cold front will move over the southeast of the State today, followed by a high developing over the Bight this evening. This high will move slowly eastwards to be centred south of Kangaroo Island on Thursday then Tasmania on Friday.
Forecast for the rest of TuesdayEarly morning fog patches about coastal areas west of Nullarbor. Isolated showers developing about the southern agricultural area, increasing to scattered during the morning about the ranges and the South East, contracting to the South East by the evening. Possible thunderstorms over the Lower South East during the morning and early afternoon. Possible small hail about the southern coast of Lower South East from late afternoon. Cool to mild in the south, grading to warm to hot in the north. Fresh to strong northwest to southwesterly winds in the south, easing during the evening. Light to moderate southwest to southeasterly winds in the north.Wednesday 1 OctoberFine apart a slight chance of showers about the Lower South East coast. Cool to mild in the south, grading to warm to hot in the north. Light to moderate southeast to southwesterly winds.Thursday 2 OctoberFine apart from the slight chance of showers in the Lower South East, clearing during the afternoon. Mild in the south grading to hot in the north and the west. Light to moderate southwest to southeast winds, tending east to northeasterly in the west.Friday 3 October
Early morning fog about southeast, then fine and warm to hot with light to moderate northeasterly winds, freshening in the west. Winds shifting fresh southerly in the far west during the evening.
Cumulative rainfall totals until midnight Friday are expected to be less than 2 mm over the southern agricultural area, increasing to 2 to 5 mm in the Mt Lofty Ranges and the Lower South East with possible localised falls of 5 to 10 mm in the Lower South East. No rain is expected over the remainder.
Saturday until MondaySlight chance of a shower about western and southern coasts, contracting to southern coasts on Sunday. Showers developing about the West Coast and the agricultural areas on Monday with increased likelihood about southern coasts.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm CST Tuesday.Product IDS10033
