MELBOURNE - Sep 26/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A high over central SA will move eastwards to be located over NSW on Saturday. A vigorous front is expected to move across the State on Sunday, followed by another high pressure system early next week, which will be centred over the Bight mid week. Forecast for the rest of FridayIsolated showers south of about Adelaide, with possible isolated thunderstorms over Kangaroo Island and the South East districts, and south of the Murraylands and southern Fleurieu Peninsula. Cool in the south, grading to mild in the north and west with light to moderate northeast to northerly winds tending south to southeasterly in the north of the State.Saturday 27 SeptemberFine apart from early morning fog patches in the Lower South East. Possible raised dust west of Ceduna. Mostly sunny. Warm, grading to hot in the north and west with northerly winds freshening in the west during the day.Sunday 28 SeptemberWindy. Sunny and warm to hot with fresh to strong and gusty northerly winds, possibly reaching gale force at times, ahead of a cooler, fresh and gusty west to southwesterly wind change extending from the west during the day. Areas of raised dust about the southern Pastoral and Flinders districts, and the northern agricultural area. A slight chance of showers and possible dry thunderstorms developing about southern and western coasts and the South East district during the day.Monday 29 SeptemberFine apart from a chance of showers near southern coasts and ranges, clearing later in the day. Mild grading to hot in the far north with northwest to southwesterly winds easing, becoming light and variable in the north during the day.Tuesday 30 September Fine apart from a chance of showers over the southern agricultural area. Cool to mild in the south, grading to hot in the far north. Light southwest to southeasterly winds, tending mainly moderate southwest to northwesterly in the south. Cumulative rainfall totals from Friday afternoon until midnight Tuesday are expected to be less than 2 mm over the southern agricultural area, possibly increasing to 2 to 5 mm in the Lower South East. No rain is expected over the remainder. Wednesday until FridayThe chance of showers about the Lower South East coast, clearing early Wednesday, then the chance of showers developing near the western border on Thursday and Friday.
