Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Sep 25/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system over the central parts of SA will move eastwards to be located over NSW on Saturday. A vigorous front is expected to move across the State on Sunday, followed by another high pressure system early next week.
Forecast for the rest of FridayAreas of morning fog about the Mid North with patchy fog possible over the remainder of the agricultural area. Light early frost patches over the Flinders, northern Yorke Peninsula and the Mid North. Isolated showers over the southern agricultural area south of Adelaide, increasing to scattered showers over the Lower South East district for the late morning and early afternoon period. Possible isolated afternoon or evening thunderstorms over Kangaroo island. Mild in the south, warm inland with light to moderate northeast to northwesterly winds tending south to southeasterly in the north of the State.Saturday 27 SeptemberFine apart from early morning fog patches in the southeast. Mostly sunny. Warm, grading to hot in the north and west with northerly winds freshening in the west later in the day.Sunday 28 SeptemberWindy. Sunny and warm to hot with fresh to strong and gusty northerly winds, possibly reaching gale force at times south of about Woomera to Lameroo, ahead of a fresh and gusty west to southwesterly wind change during the day. Areas of raised dust about southern Pastoral districts and adjacent agricultural areas. A slight chance of showers developing about southern and western coasts during the late afternoon or evening.Monday 29 September
Fine apart from a chance of showers over Kangaroo Island and the Lower South East coast, clearing later in the day. Generally mild to warm with westerly winds easing during the morning.
Cumulative rainfall totals from Friday until midnight Monday are expected to be less than 3 mm over the southern agricultural area, possibly increasing to 2 to 10 mm about southern coasts and the Lower South East. No rain is expected over the remainder.
Tuesday until ThursdayFine apart from a chance of showers over the southern agricultural area, clearing mid-week. Mild to warm, with generally light southwesterly winds turning southeast to northeasterly later in the period.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm CST Friday.Product IDS10033
