Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Sep 20/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system over Mount Gambier will move slowly eastwards to be centred over Victoria on Sunday, and over the east coast on Monday. A low pressure trough will move into the west of the State on Tuesday.
Forecast for the rest of SaturdayEarly morning frost patches over the Riverland, Murraylands and South East districts. High cloud over the Pastoral districts with possible isolated thundery showers west of about Leigh Creek, clearing late evening. Mild in the south grading to warm in the northwest with light to moderate northeast to southeast winds.Sunday 21 SeptemberFine. Early frost patches over the Murraylands and South East districts. Generally mild to warm with light to moderate east to northeasterly winds, freshening in the west.Monday 22 SeptemberFine. Warm grading to hot near the western border. Light to moderate northeast to northerly winds, fresh in the west.Tuesday 23 September
The chance of showers and thunderstorms extending from the west over areas west of about Ceduna to Coober Pedy. Generally warm grading to hot in the far north and west. Light to moderate northeast to northerly winds, fresh at times, tending southwest to westerly in the west during the afternoon.
Cumulative rainfall totals from Saturday morning to midnight Tuesday are expected to be less than 2 mm across the Pastoral districts, increasing to 2 to 5 mm near the western border.
Wednesday until FridayA low pressure trough extending from the west with associated shower activity contracting eastwards on Thursday, but the chance of showers persisting over the agricultural area on Friday.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm CST Saturday.Product IDS10033
