MELBOURNE - Sep 19/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A high pressure system south of Adelaide will drift slowly eastwards across western Victoria on Saturday and eastern Victoria during Sunday and Monday. The high will reach the Tasman Sea on Tuesday as a low pressure system develops over the Bight. The low will approach the western Victorian border on Wednesday. Forecast for the rest of FridayCloudy periods in the south with isolated showers. Clear in the north. Light to moderate southwest to southerly winds.Saturday 20 SeptemberPartly cloudy in the south with isolated showers over Gippsland and the central coast, contracting to East Gippsland during the afternoon. Mostly sunny in the north. Early morning fog and frost patches inland then a cool to mild day with light to moderate southerly winds.Sunday 21 SeptemberIsolated showers possible about the far east Gippsland coast during the morning. Mostly sunny elsewhere. Early morning frost and fog patches then a mild day with light southerly winds, a little cooler near the coast with afternoon seabreezes.Monday 22 SeptemberEarly morning fog and frost patches inland.
