MELBOURNE - Sep 18/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A complex low pressure system with multiple centres is situated over the southern Tasman Sea, while a high is centred to the south of Adelaide. Windy conditions between these system are expected to gradually ease as the low moves away and loses influence later today. During the next few days the high is forecast to become the dominant feature in the region as it drifts slowly east, extending a ridge over New South Wales and promoting dry weather in most districts, although some cooler mornings. Forecast for the rest of ThursdayIsolated showers about the southwest slopes and southern ranges, falling as snow above 1000 metres, clearing at night. An evening shower or two about the southern coast and Illawarra. Fine elsewhere. Sunny in the north, and partly cloudy in the south. Local early frost patches on the ranges. Winds southwest to southeasterly, fresh and gusty about the southeast.Friday 19 SeptemberIsolated showers on the northern coast and adjacent eastern ranges. Fine elsewhere. Partly cloudy in the north, mostly sunny in the south. Areas of morning frost on the ranges, slopes and southern inland. South to southwesterly winds, fresh and gusty near the coast.Saturday 20 SeptemberIsolated showers about the northern coast and ranges, mainly afternoon, with the chance of thunderstorms. Fine and mostly sunny elsewhere. Areas of morning frost on the ranges, slopes and southern inland. South to southeasterly winds.Sunday 21 SeptemberIsolated showers on the central and northern coasts, contracting northwards during the day. Fine elsewhere. Partly cloudy in the north, mostly sunny in the south. Early frost patches on the ranges, mainly in the south.
