Australia -- Victoria Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Sep 17/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A cold front over southern Victoria will move into the Tasman Sea this evening as a high pressure system develops over the Bight. The high will move slowly eastwards during the remainder of the week to be over Victoria on Sunday and Monday before moving over the Tasman Sea on Tuesday.
Forecast for the rest of WednesdayScattered showers with local hail over southern and eastern districts becoming isolated during the evening and mostly contracting to the coast. Showers falling as snow above 1000 metres. Moderate to fresh southwesterly winds, strong at times near the coast.Thursday 18 SeptemberIsolated showers over southern and mountain districts, scattered over South Gippsland. Snow showers above 1000 metres. Early frost patches in the north then a cool day with moderate southwesterly winds, fresh to strong at times about the east coast.Friday 19 SeptemberPartly cloudy in the south with isolated showers near the coast. Early frost inland then mostly sunny in the north. A cool day with light to moderate southerly winds.Saturday 20 SeptemberPartly cloudy in the south with isolated showers possible near the coast clearing in the afternoon. Early frost inland then mostly sunny in the north. A cool to mild day with light to moderate southerly winds.Sunday 21 SeptemberEarly frost inland then mostly sunny.
