Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Sep 17/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system over the Bight will move slowly southeastwards to be centred over Victoria by Sunday night.
Forecast for the rest of WednesdayIsolated showers about southern coasts and ranges. A cool evening in the south and cool to mild evening in the north. Light to moderate south to southeasterly winds.Thursday 18 SeptemberEarly morning frost and fog over agricultural areas and the south of the Pastoral districts. Isolated showers over southern coasts and ranges contracting to the Lower South East coast and clearing during the day. High cloud in the west with possible isolated showers west of about Ceduna to Roxby Downs to Oodnadatta. Cool to mild in the south grading to mild to warm in the north. Light to moderate southerly winds over eastern parts of the State, turning moderate to fresh northeast to northerly in the west.Friday 19 SeptemberEarly morning frosts about central and eastern districts. Possible early fog over the southeast. Possible isolated early morning showers about the Lower South East coast. High cloud across the Pastoral districts with possible isolated showers north of about Fowlers Bay to Roxby Downs to Moomba. Mild to warm with light to moderate southeast to northeast winds.Saturday 20 September
Early morning frost on and east of the ranges. Possible early fog in the southeast. High cloud over the Pastoral districts with a slight chance of showers, all clearing to the east by the end of the day. Mild to warm with light to moderate northeast to southeast winds.
Sunday 21 September
Possible early morning fog and frost on and east of the ranges. Mostly sunny. Generally mild to warm with light to moderate east to northeasterly winds.
Cumulative rainfall totals from Wednesday afternoon until midnight Sunday are expected to be generally less than 2 mm.
Monday until WednesdayFine and mild to warm at first with freshening northerly winds. A trough is expected to move across the State next week bringing a chance of showers to western and southern parts of South Australia.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:30 am CST Thursday.Product IDS10033
