MELBOURNE - Sep 12/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A high pressure system will drift slowly across Victoria over the weekend to be located over the Tasman Sea on Sunday, while a front will cross to the south of Tasmania Sunday morning. A low pressure system will track across the head of the Bight to reach Adelaide by Sunday night and then looks set to cross far northwestern Victoria on Monday, before gradually moving eastwards across New South Wales on Tuesday. A new high pressure system will move over Bight waters late on Tuesday. Forecast for the rest of SaturdayMorning fog and frost patches then a fine day to follow. Mainly sunny inland although cloudy periods across the south and southwest. Cool to mild with light winds and afternoon coastal seabreezes.Sunday 14 SeptemberMorning fog and frost patches then a mainly fine day with high cloud increasing. The chance of showers in the west late in the afternoon and evening. Cool to mild with generally light winds.Monday 15 SeptemberIsolated showers extending to most areas from the west. Cool to mild and cloudy with light to moderate east to southeasterly winds.Tuesday 16 SeptemberIsolated showers contracting to the east.
