Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Sep 12/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high centred near Mount Gambier is moving eastwards and will be centred over Tasman Sea on the weekend. A low pressure system will develop near the western border late Saturday, and then move eastwards to be centred over eastern districts on Monday morning.
Forecast for the rest of FridayPossible isolated light showers about the Lower South East coast, fine elsewhere. Cool to cold with generally light winds.Saturday 13 SeptemberEarly morning fog about Kangaroo Island and the South East districts. Light frost over the Flinders Ranges, the eastern districts and the far south of the Northeast Pastoral. Possible isolated light morning showers about the Lower South East coast. Generally mild to warm, grading to hot in the west. Light southeast to northeasterly winds, turning moderate northerly in the west.Sunday 14 SeptemberEarly morning fog patches about the Lower South East. Isolated showers developing over Kangaroo Island, southern Fleurieu Peninsula and the South East districts, also possible about the Lower Eyre, Murraylands and southern Yorke Peninsula and Mount Lofty Ranges. Mild to warm in the south, grading to warm to hot in the far north and west. Light to moderate southeast to northeasterly winds, turning moderate to fresh northerly in the west, ahead of a southwesterly change extending over western districts.Monday 15 SeptemberSlight chance of showers about the agricultural area and the West Coast. Medium chance about Kangaroo Island, Southern Fleurieu Peninsula and the Upper South East. High chance of showers about the Lower South East. Warm to hot over the North East Pastoral with moderate to fresh northwesterly winds, ahead of a milder southwest to southeasterly change extending throughout by the evening.Tuesday 16 September
Slight chance of showers about the agricultural area contracting to the southern coasts by the evening. Slight chance of showers also developing west of Ernabella to Marla to Nullarbor during the afternoon. Cool to mild in the south, warm in the north. Light to moderate southeast to southwest winds.
Cumulative rainfall totals until midnight Tuesday are expected to be less than 2 mm southwest of Renmark to Hawker to Ernabella, 2 to 5 mm about the Lower South East.
Wednesday until FridaySlight chance of showers about the southern coasts as well as the northern Pastorals clearing by Thursday afternoon, then fine on Friday.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:30 am CST Saturday.Product IDS10033
