MELBOURNE - Sep 11/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A high over the south of South Australia is moving eastwards and will be centred off the east coast on the weekend. A low pressure trough will develop near the western border early Sunday, and then move eastwards to be centred over eastern districts on Monday. Forecast for the rest of FridayPartly cloudy in the south with isolated light early morning showers about the Lower South East coast. Isolated early morning fog and frost patches over the agricultural area and West Coast district. A cool day in the south grading to mild over the remainder. Generally light winds.Saturday 13 SeptemberFine apart from early morning fog and light frost over the agricultural area, except in the west. Generally mild to warm, grading to hot near the western border. Light southeast to northeasterly winds, turning moderate northerly in the west.Sunday 14 SeptemberFine apart from the chance of showers developing south of about Lameroo to Adelaide to Streaky Bay. Mild to warm in the south, grading to warm to hot in the far north and west. Light to moderate southeast to northeasterly winds, turning moderate to fresh northerly in the west, ahead of a southwesterly change extending over western districts.Monday 15 September Fine apart from the chance of showers south of about Renmark to Port Lincoln to Ceduna, contracting east and clearing by evening. Warm to hot over the North East Pastoral with moderate to fresh northwesterly winds, ahead of a milder southwest to southeasterly change extending throughout by late evening. Cumulative rainfall totals from Friday morning until midnight Monday are expected to be less than 2 mm south of about Renmark to Port Lincoln to Ceduna.
