MELBOURNE - Sep 10/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A cold front crossed most of NSW last night and today and will move through the far northeast this evening as a dry, weaker feature. Another front will cross far southeast NSW later tomorrow with just isolated showers expected for that area and fresh and gusty southwest to southerly winds. This front is expected to move north along the coast tomorrow night and Friday and weaken, bringing isolated showers to the coast and eastern ranges during that period. A high pressure system is expected to move across NSW during Friday then into the Tasman Sea on Saturday with generally fine conditions expected for the weekend although another relatively weak front is forecast to cross southern parts of the state during Sunday. A weak low pressure system is likely to cross the state early next week with isolated shower activity associated for parts of the inland, possibly more widespread nearer the coast. Forecast for the rest of WednesdayGenerally fine and mostly clear across the state, just the chance of a little drizzle about the South Coast and South West Slopes. Southwesterly winds, fresh about the east but mostly easing tonight.Thursday 11 SeptemberIsolated showers developing in the far south during the day, mostly about the western slopes of the far southern ranges during the day and about the South Coast in the evening. Fine and mostly sunny remainder. West to southwest winds, locally fresh to strong in the southeast, before a late, gusty southerly change along the southern coast.Friday 12 SeptemberIsolated showers along the coast and eastern ranges, mostly between Port Macquarie and Narooma. Fine and mostly sunny remainder. Southeasterly winds.Saturday 13 SeptemberIsolated showers along the northern half of the coast and ranges. Mostly sunny remainder. Southeast to northeast winds.Sunday 14 SeptemberIsolated showers possible on the north coast, fine mostly sunny remainder though some cloud developing in the south. Early fog patches in the east.
