MELBOURNE - Sep 9/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A cold front crossing New South Wales is expected to move to the far northeast and clear the state by the end of the day. A high pressure ridge will gradually expand from the west in a wake of the front, becoming a dominating feature over the state for the next few days. Forecast for the rest of WednesdayShowers in the east, contracting further east during the morning and clearing in the early afternoon. Chance of isolated thunderstorms in the east at first. Possible early snow on the Alpine peaks. Generally dry in the west. A west to southwesterly wind change reaching the northeast in the afternoon.Thursday 11 SeptemberIsolated afternoon or evening showers about the southern border. Fine and mostly sunny remainder. West to southwest winds.Friday 12 SeptemberIsolated showers along the coast and eastern ranges., mostly in central parts. Fine and mostly sunny remainder. Southeasterly winds.Saturday 13 SeptemberIsolated showers along the coast and ranges, mostly over the northern half.
