Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Sep 9/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A ridge of high pressure extends over the the state. A weak front will move over the south of the State overnight tonight into Thursday. A high will develop over the Bight on Thursday before moving eastwards across South Australia during the weekend.
Forecast for the rest of WednesdayEarly morning fog patches over western parts of the State and the Flinders district. Possible isolated light showers over the southern agricultural area contracting to the Lower South East during the morning. Isolated showers extending over southern coastal areas in the evening. Fine elsewhere. Cool to mild with mainly moderate west to southwesterly winds, fresh at times in the south.Thursday 11 SeptemberIsolated showers about southern coastal districts and the Mount Lofty Ranges until evening, possibly extending over remaining parts of the agricultural area, all contracting to the Lower South East coast by evening. Possible morning fog in the west. Cool in the far south, mild to warm elsewhere. Light to moderate southwest to southeasterly winds.Friday 12 SeptemberEarly morning fog and frost, then a fine day apart from a slight chance of isolated showers over the south of the Lower South East coast in the morning. Mainly mild to warm with light southeast to northeasterly winds.Saturday 13 September
Fine. Mostly sunny. Generally mild with light winds turning northeasterly in the far west.
Cumulative rainfall totals from Wednesday morning until midnight Saturday are expected to be 2 to 5 mm over southern coasts and ranges and the South East districts. Less than 2 mm is expected elsewhere over the agricultural area.
Sunday until TuesdayFine across the north of the State with a slight chance of showers affecting the agricultural area and far south of the the Pastoral districts. Mild to warm, grading to warm to hot in the north early next week.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm CST Wednesday.Product IDS10033
