MELBOURNE - Sep 5/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A high 1028 hPa over Victoria will move east to be over the Tasman Sea on Sunday. A trough of low pressure will move across the west of the State on Monday and a series of cold fronts will move across the south of the State during next week. Forecast for the rest of SaturdayFine. Cool to mild in the south, grading to mild to warm in the north. Light to moderate northeasterly winds, freshening in the west.Sunday 7 SeptemberFine apart from early frost patches about the Flinders and south of the Northeast Pastoral districts. Mild grading to warm in the far north, and warm to hot in the far west. Light to moderate east to northeasterly winds, tending moderate to fresh northerly in the west.Monday 8 SeptemberA chance of showers over the agricultural area and south of the pastoral districts, more likely with possible isolated thunderstorms over Eyre Peninsula, the south of Yorke Peninsula and Kangaroo Island. Warm grading to hot in the north and west, with fresh and gusty northerly winds shifting cooler west to southwesterly in the west. Areas of raised dust in the west.Tuesday 9 September A chance of showers southeast of about Ceduna to Marree, more likely with possible isolated thunderstorms over the southern agricultural area. Moderate to fresh northwest to southwest winds, strong at times in the south. Cumulative rainfall totals from Saturday morning to midnight Tuesday are expected to be 2 to 5 mm about the west coast and southern agricultural area, reaching 5 to 10 mm about southern coasts and ranges. Less than 2 mm over the remainder.
