Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Sep 4/14 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A trough of low pressure over central parts of South Australia will move eastwards and weaken overnight. A high will move in south of the State and Friday and move east to be over the Tasman Sea on Sunday. Another trough of low pressure will move across the west of the State on Monday.
Forecast for the rest of ThursdayIsolated showers over central and eastern inland districts, contracting east and clearing by late evening. Cool grading to mild in the far north. Light to moderate easterly winds in the east, shifting moderate southwest to southeast over the remainder.Friday 5 SeptemberCloudy with possible isolated showers northwest of about Coober Pedy. Morning fog and frost patches over the agricultural area and south of the pastoral districts. Cool in the south grading to mild in the north. Light to moderate east to southeast winds, fresh at times in the north in the morning. Light to moderate afternoon coastal sea breezes.Saturday 6 SeptemberA slight chance of showers north of about Coober Pedy. Early morning fog in the Lower South East and early frost patches over central and eastern districts. Cool to mild in the south, grading to mild to warm in the north. Light to moderate northeasterly winds, freshening in the west.Sunday 7 SeptemberFine. Mild grading to warm in the far north, and warm to hot in the far west. Light to moderate east to northeasterly winds, tending moderate to fresh northerly in the west.Monday 8 September
A slight chance of showers over the agricultural area and south of the pastoral districts, more likely with possible isolated thunderstorms over Eyre Peninsula, the south of Yorke Peninsula and Kangaroo Island. Warm grading to hot in the north and west, with freshening northerly winds shifting cooler west to southwesterly in the west.
Cumulative rainfall totals from Thursday evening to midnight Monday are expected to be less than 2 mm, reaching 2 to 5 mm about western and south central coasts.
Tuesday until ThursdayA chance of showers south of about Marree, more likely over the southern agricultural area. Northwest to southwest winds, fresh to strong in the south.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:30 am CST Friday.Product IDS10033
